Obituary - Mount Pulaski Times-News, 27 June 1968 JOHN SCROGGIN DIED IN CALIFORNIA Word was received at the Times-News office recently from Marjorie R. Post of Massapequa, New York, of the death of John Marion Scroggin. John Marion Scroggin passed away at Sepulveda, Calif., June 3, 1968. He was born in Frazee, Minn., September 28, 1907, the son of the late Frank and Ida Rankin Scroggin. Funeral services were held for Mr. Scroggin on Thursday, June 6, at 9:00 a.m. at the Chapel of Sacred Memories, Glendale, Cal., the Rev. James H. Parrott officiating. Music was furnished by the organist, Mrs. Alice Ripley. Interment was in Sawtelle Cemetery in Los Angeles, Calif. John Scroggin, with his mother Ida Scroggin, lived in Mount Pulaski for several years, in the home on West Jefferson now occupied by Mr. and Mrs. Fred Zelle.
