Obituary - Mount Pulaski Times-News, 16 July 1964 MAMIE COATES, 75, DIED WEDNESDAY; SERVICES FRIDAY Mrs. Mamie Coates, 75, of Mount Pulaski, Ill., died at 5:05 p.m. Wednesday, July 15, 1964, at the Decatur and Macon County Hospital in Decatur, where she had been a patient for three days. Mrs. Coates was born April 30, 1889, in Lincoln, Ill., the daughter of Granville and Nettie Neeley Manley.  She was married to James Coates in Springfield, Ill., Oct. 12, 1904.  He passed away Nov. 26, 1951. She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Harvey (Mae) Robinson and one grandchild.  Also surviving are three sisters, Mrs. Lillian Goodpaster of Dwight, Ill.; Mrs. Edna Forrester  and Mrs. Ruby Larkin, both of Hammond, Ind.; and two brothers, Nyne Manley of Colorado Springs, Colo., and Leland Manley of Dwight, Ill. Mrs. Coates was a member of the Four Square Church of Lake Fork. The funeral will be held Friday at 2 p.m. in the Schahl Funeral Home, with the Rev. Luther Barnes officiating.  Interment in Steenbergen Cemetery. Visitation Thursday after 3 p.m.
