Thought I would submit this as I'm related to the Benders through a paternal great-great grandmother, Mary Bender Langenbahn. Troy Semple DOROTHY BENDER MOUNT PULASKI -- Dorothy Helen Bender, 91, of Mount Pulaski died Saturday, June 18, 2005, at 7:15 a.m. at Vonderlieth Living Center. Her funeral will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Mount Pulaski, with the Rev. Frank Pieper officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in Mount Pulaski Cemetery. Miss Bender was a retired photographer. She was born Oct. 19, 1913, in Mount Pulaski to John Frederick and Ruth Von Lobberecht Bender. She is survived by one sister, June Rockwell of Mount Pulaski; one sister-in-law, Harriet Bender of Mount Pulaski; and several nieces and nephews. Four brothers and one sister preceded her in death.
