Thanks everyone for your help. I sincerely appreciate everyone's assistance. You're a helpful community, especially for someone that lives so far away from Lincoln. It helps me to discuss this with others who know the area and the history. This discussion gave me another idea. I found my ancestor William Howard Reynold,s death certificate and it states his residence as "1210 7th St." When I looked this up on the map services, I found this was located one a corner of 7th St. and Jefferson. Another mystery solved. DGehlbach@aol.com wrote: In a message dated 10/28/2007 4:20:25 P.M. Thus 210 N. Jefferson would be north of the corner of Jefferson and 8th, while 210 S. Jefferson would be south of the corner of Jefferson and 7th. They would be a little over two blocks apart.
