The phone number I found listed with Holy Cross Cemetery on the Cemetery page of Logan County USGenWeb was 217-732-9637. The person (private phone) at this number has no involvement with Holy Cross Cemetery, genealogy, etc. I emailed the "web person" at the address on the "home page" [email protected] and it got bounced. Does anyone have a current contact for Holy Cross Cemetery? A collateral ancester Martin Kelly died in 1876 (just before county civil records for deaths, of course!) of a tragic railroad accident. He was living in Logan at the time and was almost certainly buried in a Catholic cemetery. I'd like to see if his gravestone is in Holy Cross and if it gives a specific date of death. I have no idea why [email protected] would bounce. I own the domain. Maybe they think bigfoot.com is a spam mailer? Having had bigfoot addresses I know it is not. I'll check into that. The phone number was provided to me by the Cemetery District. It is a private number. The person has no involvement with genealogy, just a cemetery contact. I'll check into it. However, the contact for any cemetery will not necessarily know who is buried there or how to locate a specific grave. In some cases they are merely the person who can open the gate. A couple suggestions. First, a person on this list might own the cemetery book which includes Holy Cross and would be so kind as to look your ancestor up for you. Newspapers might be useful.
