    1. [ILLOGAN] MaryAnn Hammon and Robert Applegate/Applegitt
    2. cheryl kale
    3. Hi List, Maryann and Robert were married in Logan County, and they are on the 1860 census together. He died during the Civil War, and is buried in TN. Apparently they had a child named Edward, for he appears in the 1870 census with his grandfather. MaryAnn was not on that census, and I never found another trace of them. MaryAnn is NOT on the marriage index, so it is doubtful that she remarried, and I know she did die before the 1886 History of Logan. There are some Applegitts at Downing, but they are Robert's first family. Can anyone find Edward and MaryAnn on a cemetery transcription? Thanks for any assistance you can give. Sincerely, Cheryl Kale --------------------------------- Ahhh...imagining that irresistible "new car" smell? Check outnew cars at Yahoo! Autos.

    3. Check with the Logan County G&H. I donated some CDs of old records, including Ohio, to them a couple years ago. That may have been one of them. I no longer recall the names. There were a bunch from LDS and a bunch from Family Tree Maker. On 4/30/07, Lee Anne Center <lacenter@comcast.net> wrote: > > Cheryl, > > It is a book. Author: seggelke Surnames: Musick Classification: biography Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/localities.northam.usa.states.illinois.counties.logan/1576/mb.ashx Message Board Post: My Husband's ancestors include the Musick's of Logan county. While looking at the Lincoln Courier Centennial Paper I saw this excerpt they included from the ILLINOIS STATE JOURNAL, Springfield , December 2, 1847: The citizens of Logan County, in conjunction with the county commissioners, are building a free bridge on Salt Creek a few rods below Musick's toll bridge on Salt Creek. This speaks well for the citizens of Logan; the toll bridge there is a perfect monoply - charging more than paid to cross the Mississippi at St. Louis. # Found it interesting ...hope some other Musick researchers enjoy the small article.
