The 1880 US Census Index is the latest addition to its over two dozen sources. Towns, townships and other place names at <A HREF="http://hometown.aol.com/illinoygenealogy/myhomepage/writing.html"> Illinois Genealogical Research: Place Names of Illinois Counties</A> and find information on each place name: Elevation, Incorporation Date, Former Names, Later Name, Post Office Dates of Operation, Population, Railroads, Rural Route, Towns, Townships, US Post Offices 1859/60, Zip Code... area resources are available only for the greater Livingston County area. Additionally all Illinois Counties are represented here... the NE quarter of the state is better represented at this time than the rest. We have been through Broughton and Saunemin and only found one son so far in 1900. There must have been more stayed in that area, as there were a few in the 1880 census. Thanks for any help.
