Joan: I will take you up on your offer. I am having such a time trying to locate any information on my great grandparents. I did finally discover they were married 11 Oct 1863 and have sent for the marriage certificate from Livingston County. No reply yet. My great grandfather was Albert O. Harvey (sometimes listed as A. O. Harvey) and my great grandmother was Margaret F. (I think it is Frances) Turner. Albert had been living in Chicago in 1860 so how he got to Livingston County I don't know. I don't know the name of Margaret's parent either and can't find anyplace where I can look at the census -- at least no place on line. I am not a member of Ancestry.com so can't look in their files. I know that Albert and Margaret (Turner) Harvey lived in Beadle County, South Dakota, from 1880 to 1888 then I have no idea what happened to them -- no death dates, no city where they might have moved. Census records there showed Margaret was born in Ohio and I know Albert was born in England. There was a family story that Margaret moved back to Illinois, possibly the Chicago area but I have found nothing in Dupage or Cook county on her. I don't know where Albert went or if he died shortly after going back to Illinois. As you can see any little bit of information I can find or even leads that I could follow up on would be appreciate. Even if I had the names of some turners in Livingston County in 1863 would be appreciated. Illinois State Archives Databases If you have access to Ancestory, the archive of the Pantagraph at Bloomington is in their database. I'm not sure of the years but I think the list covers somewhere around 1970 to present. If you are not a subscriber, send me the names and I'll look to see if I can find them. Joan >>
