Sue, Attached is the message I posted regarding Remington in Fairbury. I do not know if there is any connection between your William Todden (son of) and my Remingtons. But I would be interested in pursuing this further with you. If you have additional information about the Toddens (eg. wife's or mother's maiden name, and dates for instance), this may help. My grandfather, George A. Heckmann was a tailor and also county sheriff (for Livingston County). He and his wife Aline Remington Heckmann lived in Fairbury and also Pontiac from 1880's to 1940/1950's. They had two sons, George R. Heckman (Pontiac H.S. class of 1933) and Charles N. Heckman. George is my father and died in 1967, his brother Charles (or Noyes as he was sometimes called, died in 1960 I believe). My great-grandmother Lizzie G. Remington and her husband, Albert Remington lived in Fairbury. They married there in 1874. Albert was the son of Henry L. Remington and Chloe Alderman Remington. Henry was a member of the Royal Arch Masons in the late 1800's. I am trying to gather any information from others who may have known them and knew of them. Thank you, Liz
