    3. After looking into John Bowman a little more in Nebraska, it appears he didn't marry Anna until he got to Nebraska. I don't know who his wife might have been in Illinois. I'm afraid it is back to researching more in Nebraska before I try to get to illinois! Sorrry! 2. I don't have specific information for you. My Irish Catholic ancestors ( O'Brien & Wallace) were from Tipperary and had their children in the same time frame baptized in St. Mary's in Pontiac. They were (I believe) from the parish of Emly. Maybe you contact the church. Mine did not have origin in the baptism records I sent for. The gravestones in cemetery had the place of origin in Ireland, but was really hard to decipher. Good luck to you. I am sure they were friends at a minimum. 3. Hi, Anna-- I found a few Pages in two Pontiac cemeteries: Pontiac Southside and St. Mary's Catholic, but no Archelaus. There are more Pages at Southside than at the Catholic cemetery, and the oldest birthdate is Nelson D. Page, b. 1857. I searched for Page at http://www.ilsos.gov/GenealogyMWeb/pontiacsrch.html, and there is a probate record available for Archelaus at the Illinois Regional Archives Depository (IRAD) at Illinois State University. If you are not familiar with IRAD and the procedure for requesting records, go to http://www.cyberdriveillinois.com/departments/archives/databases.html and scroll down to "Records in the Illinois Regional Archives Depositories." 2. Great, Let me know when you are ready, I helped Doug with Moon Point and later did Defenbaugh. Doug had started to do Ancona cemetery before he died. I believe he had some pictures on his web site. I have some of those obituaries if you are interested for that cemetery. Apparently, some of your? family was buried there. Also found an article from 1988? mentions an earlier burial in Moon that we did not have. Again, let me know when you are ready..... Joanie Johnson Streatorland Historical Society

    2. Hi Tim, I have the Moon Point site archived and am working on getting it up on my own domain (myfamilyinfo.org). It could take me a month or two as I am in a period of radical transitions in my life, but I will post links to the list when it's up and running. I also have some of Doug's paper files regarding the Moon Point site and am willing to help folks the best I can. A better email address for me is meggybears@gmail.com. Moon Point Cemetery site at http://www.geocities.com/mp_cemetery/ will both be shut down by Geocities on October 26. (They're shutting down all the Geocities sites--they're not just picking on us.) I have bought the domain name sunburycemetery.com on another website host, but it may be a while before I put up the existing files and--hopefully--updated ones too. I have backed up the whole Sunbury site with HTTP copier, and actually anyone can get that software for free on Download.com and download the site before it is pulled on 10-26. Same with Doug's site. I've also submitted both my site and Doug's to the Internet Wayback Machine for archiving. I'll still take any questions about those interred at Sunbury, and Bill Shepherd from Streator has provided a spreadsheet of people at Rowe Cemetery, east of Pontiac if people have questions about that cemetery. I'll post another message when I have migrated my files to the new domain. Thanks to everyone who helped me with the Sunbury site.
