Ruth, I don't know about the time period you're looking for, but the LaSalle County libraries carry a book called "The Cherry Mine Disaster" which includes many of the family names of the miners who were working in the Cherry mine when it burned in the early 1900's. As a child, I also read a book called "The Great Cherry Mine Disaster" which I'm sure is out of print years ago, but might be in one of the library archives. I found "The Cherry Mine Disaster" at the Mendota library. Any cemetaries in the Cherry-Ladd area would probably be worth checking. Rose
