There are none listed in the 1860 census of LaSalle Co published by the LaSalle Co Genealogy Guild. On the 1870 there is a George CHALY, 48 M, PR, works on farm, listed in the Nicholas Hoffman household, Eden Twp, house 192-184. There is also a CHELLY family: John, 34 M SW farmer; Louisa 23 F HE keeping house and Julius 8/12 M IL (b. Sept.) in Town of Dimmick, PO Peru, house 151-149. In Vol 1 of 1880, there is a CHALLAH family from IR. Vol 2 has not been published yet. I don't know if any of this will help you.
