Hi searchers: Lately I have seen many requests for someone to search the 1870 LaSalle census for their names. LaSAlle county census contains many districts and subdivisions. Your names can be in one of them, but without a little more information than "LaSalle", it could take days for them to search all LaSalle. The census is not alphabetized. It is usually by EDu. dist within Supervisory dist. then by street within each ward. My suggestion to you would be to find a Later Day Saints Family History Center near you or a Fedearl National Archives and Records Administration Office near you. The FHC's have most all the census for the whole country. If the local FHC does not have the census you want they can order it from SAtl Lake City at a nominal cost. I am not Mormon but I use their services all the time and find the volunteers to be very helpful people.
