It contains 52 pages of basic information of his life. This journal really does not contain any genealogical information except the following: 1. John J. Davis died on August 16, 1856. 2. Mahlon worked on Miner & Darrow's Store. 3. Mentions the following Doctors: Dr. Lyons, Dr. Sangers, Dr. Thompson, Dr. Vance, and Dr. Vanval???berg. 4. Mentions the "Pratt Place" 5. Mahlon Cory died on February 10, 1863. 6. Worrel's brother buried on January 9, 1870 7. G. C. Kinny buried on January 10, 1870. 8. Hatty Cory and Levi Davison married on March 15, 1870 9. Harvey Dickerson married Alice Truly on September 13, 1870 There are over one hundred surnames mentioned in his journal. If your ancestor lived around Freedom, LaSalle Co., IL they may be mentioned. Remember, there is very little genealogical info, just a bit of history on your ancestor's daily doings. I will gladly look up for you, just let me know. I will post answers to the list so others will see the surnames. Sincerely, Alyson Crippen agc@sofnet.com
