    3. If most of your ancestors came from LaSalle County, I would go to the LaSalle County Genealogy Guild building in Ottawa. I am the corresponding secretary there. We have indexed the 1860, 1870, and 1880 censuses, we have the original probate from 1831 to 1922, We have the marriages on computer from 1831 to 1913 and then we can make a copy of the license for $.25 not $7 that the courthouse charges. We also have county histories, cemetery listings, obituaries, family records and church records. If your family was in LaSalle County for a time we should be able to help you. Hope to see you soon.
