I am trying to research the Samuel GORDON and Susan McDOWELL family from LaSalle County. I know that they had at least 11 children, one of which was my Ggrandfather, Francis Marion Gordon, who was born in Utica on 28 MAR 1875. Samuel Gordon was born on 22 FEB 1837 in PA. I have no idea in which county Samuel was born, nor who his parents were. Does anyone have any information on these people? Susan McDOWELL (Gordon) was born to James McDowell and Eliza Daniels on 22 JUN 1837 in Stark Co,OH. I have lots of information on the family of Susan's father, James McDowell. However, I have nothing on the lineage of her mother, Eliza Daniels. Does ANYONE have any information on the parentage of Samuel Gordon??? Or on Eliza Daniels?
