I have a lot of LaSalle Co. surnames and biographical information and would be happy to share it. Here are some of the families: GREEN, John (b. 1789 in MD, d. 1874 in Rutland Twp., LaSalle Co., IL), settled in Dayton in 1829 with his wife (Barbara GROVE) and 9 children, most of whom left descendants. Three of their daughters married three sons from the DUNNAVAN (aka Dunavan) family -- I am especially interested in these families. Other associated surnames are TRUMBO, STADDEN, DeBOLT, LETTS, and SHAVER. MUNSON, William (b. 1806 in Onandaga Co., NY, d. 1879 in Freedom Twp., LaSalle Co.), married Rachel HALL in 1833 after her parents (William Hall & Mary Jane Rebecca (aka Jennie) WILLIAMS were killed in the Black Hawk War. William's brother Alanson MUNSON also came to the area and settled in Bureau Co. Associated surnames are MILLER, HORN, VANCE, REED. ROWE, Robert A. (b. 1826 in Dearborn Co., IN, d. 1895 in Ottawa), married Fear HOSFORD, (dau. of John Harrison Hosford & Margaret Myers, who lived in Freedom Twp. after 1837 then Ottawa after 1875). Robert & Fear Rowe lived in Freedom Twp., but Robert's father & brothers all lived in Sheridan & Mission Twp. Associated names: McCLURE, BROWN, BRANDON, CONDON, LAMB, PHILLIPS, RAWLING, SPRADLING, ANGEVINE, BEEBE, WARREN, TODD. REYNOLDS, James C. (b. 1832 in Fort Walton, on Cedar Creek, LaSalle Co., son of Martin Reynolds & Betsy HITT; d. 1910 in Deer Park Twp.). James married Caroline CLAYTON (d. of William Clayton, another settler in Deer Park). Associated surnames: DICK, OSTRANDER, PHELPS, GUMM, SANGER, MILLER. GOLDEN, John F. (b. 1858 in Magnolia, Putnam Co., d. 1935 in Lostant, Hope Twp., LaSalle Co.), married Minnie Jane ELLIS in Ottawa in 1892. Minnie's mother, Mahala Bowman (or BOMAN) ELLIS, the widow of Abram Ellis, lived in also lived in Hope Twp. from 1880 until her death in 1895. The Bowman & Ellis families were in Putnam Co. in the 1850's. Associated surnames include: DELPHEY, JOHNSON, RYAN, and SIMS or SIMMS. I think this is enough to post for now! Sandy
