I am looking for relatives/descendants of Canute and Andrea (Anderson) Thompson, both of Norway, who were married in Leland, LaSalle County, Illinois, sometime between 1844-1858 (sorry for the vague window). They had seven children that I know of: Matilda (b. May, 1858) m. Hugh Henry (of Ireland) and had 4 children, 3 I can name: Walter Harold; Ruby F., and Lulu. [Note: Matilda went to in Muskegon, Michigan with daughter Ruby Gundy-1920s] Luddiak (b. 1863) - last known address (1913) West Plains, Howell County, Missouri August - last known address (1913) was Spokane, WA. Christian (b. May, 1854) m. Nikorina and had 3 children that I know of: Lawrence, Winnie F. and Margie [last known address (1913) was Warmann, Minnesota] Emma O. (born Jan, 1862) m.Frank B. Kimble had Warren & twins Lester and Leon [Emma died in West Plains, Missouri, but the SSDI shows the twins in Oregon] Isabell (Belle) m. William B. Fletcher, 1 child I know of--Lottie (could be Charlotte) [Last known address was West Plains, Howell County, Missouri, 1913] Delea (or one census has Lelea) m. Hurrmain Herrmann (German) no kids I know of [Last known address was West Plains, Howell County, Missouri, 1913) ************* There is a Canute Thompson listed in the LaSalle County Mortality Index as having died at age 50, in 1850. He was likely "my" Canute's father. This leads me to believe that Canute came to the US with his family, some of whom may have stayed in or near LaSalle County, IL.
