The 1850 Census of La Salle County, Bruce Township, shows the household of Hough JEFFREY and wife Caroline. Also living in the Household is Sarah READY and two children, Benjamin and Leah READY. I believe that Sarah (DAY) READY is the widow of Daniel READY (d. March 29, 1850 in LaSalle Co), both from Brown County, OH. I suspect that Caroline JEFFREY (b. abt 1828) may be a daughter of Daniel and Sarah Ready but so far have not been able to find a marriage record or any indication of Caroline's maiden name. Does anyone have any information on the parents of Caroline JEFFREY, wife of Hough/ Hugh JEFFREY?
