My grandfather Peter William Didtel, his brother John Dittle, arrived in the US approx. 1872. Am trying to find information on their parents, father Joseph Dittle or Didtel, mother Theresa Meister both born in Germany. Trying to find out where they came from in Germany and am assuming they came to the US with their children since John was only 5 or 6 when they arrived. Peter born 1869 probably in Germany although some indication might have been Pittsburgh, PA. Married Mary Stoetzer 1892 Peru, IL. Married Augusta Ritzmann 1896 Peru, IL. Moved to Roseburg, OR sometime after 1900. John Dittle born 1867 in Germany, Married Louise De Costa 1886 Spring Valley, IL. Married Francis Wortz after 1901.
