I am trying to locate the Town of Birth in Prussia/Poland of two ancestors who moved to Peru, LaSalle Co., Il. 1) J.(Jacobus?) Thomas Cheslick/Cieslik born about 1820 in the Posen area of Prussia(Poland). He arrived in N.Y. in 1851-2. He lived in Chicago for a short time. He lived in Peru, LaSalle Co., IL during the interval 1855-1864. He died in 1964--I believe in Peru, IL. 2) Susanna Cheslic/Cheslick (Thomas' daughter) born 9/14/1848 probably in the Posen area of Prussia/Poland. Came to N.Y. with father in 1851-2 (her mother died on the ship coming over). She married Carl Koehler in LaSalle Co., IL, and they moved to Ellinwood, KS where she died in 1943.
