Slewder, of Ottawa. >Elizabeth Hackett Shaver was born in Wheeling, VA., Nov. 4th 1815, and died >at Ottawa, as noted above, having reached the advanced age of 86 years, 8 >months and 12 days. >At the age of two years she moved, with her parents, from Virginia to Mt. >Vernon, Ind., remaining there until 1834, when she came to LaSalle County, >and has since been a resident here. >On the 24th of October, 1835, she became the wife of Cyrus Shaver, a man >widely known for his sterling qualities, but of whom she was bereft Feb. >21st 1883. >She leaves to mourn her loss one son, George D., of Rutland township, and >three daughters, Mrs. W.
