Howell Frances POWELL b 1/1/1783 in Brechnockshire, Wales immigrated through either Philadelphia or more probably, Boston abt 1818 and lived there with his wife, Mary Ann RICHARDS and their 7 children until they moved via covered wagon to La Salle Cty abt 1850. Howell and Mary Ann had the following children, some born in Wales, some born in MA: Janett, Mary Ann, Eleyza, Martha, William Henry, Eliza and James T. Howell was a gardener and a farmer in the Northville Twp. area and died there 12/8/1857; he is buried in the Northville Cemetery with his wife. Jo-Ann SEITZINGER
