There was a Simeon Cleal, born Feb. 18, 1843 in Middlesex County England who lived in Allen Township. Simeon married Julia E. Tremper, and I did some research for the Tremper family. Simeon and Julia did not have children. Simeon did have a brother George, who was married to a Harriet Pacy? Their parents were Henry Cleal (1809 - 1974) and Charlotte Pickett (1813 - 1902) They are buried in Allen Twp. Cemetery. Might have lived in Cook Co. bet 1852 - 1860. I think they had seven children. One son, Charles fought for the South in the Civil War, Simeon fought for the North, and was injured. Apparently, that is why he could not have children. I got some of the family information from the Ransom, Allen Twp., Centennial book, but there are errors in that book. As I said, I was researching the Tremper's, so I did not pay too much attention to the Cleal's. Let me know if this is the correct family.
