Thanks for the encouragement, Joanie. My Mother does collect Social Security in the state of CA and I am wondering what she used for a birth certificate. Her name on my birth certificate is Petko and is also used throughout an album she kept, but she also used Pruitt. She would never talk of her family and now has alzheimers and doe not know even me. I live in MO. I did find in my records and photos pictures of both her mother and grandmother taken 1946-48 and that she had spelled her first husband's name "Himmelrick". Her second husband, Shirley Bain, is my father and they lived in CA. I am certain my mother would have been a baptist and I don't know if she was ever baptised but she was married to my father in the Westbrae Baptist Church in Berkeley, CA, and will see if they have info. Now having 3 children and 11 grandchildren of my own, all close friends, I aam missing not having grandparents and aunt, uncles, etc. Thanks----Sharon in MO
