Jan, O.K. about Shorty nickname for Armand Harry. We run a tire business in Mendota , LaSalle County and one of our customers is Armand Dannewitz and he is called Shorty. Very nice gentleman and always pleasant. Haven't seen him in quite a while but I have a thing for remembering different names and how to spell them. His name always stuck with me. I think he worked as a road commissioner for the county if I am not mistaken and would purchase the tires for the road machines for the county. Nancy, After reading notes that I received from a far off relative, I do find an Armand Dannewitz. He was the son of Harry and Lillian. They had six girls and just one boy.
