I'm looking for information about this La Salle family -- Hiram A Pitts invented and patented the threshing machine in1839 in Maine and moved to Chicago in 1851 and established H A Pitts In 185 Agricultural Machinery. At his death in1856, the company became H A Pitts Sons Mfg Co. At this time the company relocated to Marseilles, La Salle County. . The sons, Marcellus became president; Joseph L Pitts, president, later, Aurelius V., Vice Pres.; Florison D. Treasurer, wife Jennie. In 1881, Joseph's wife, Amanda (Alfreida) died in Kansas and in 1881 he married (2) Gentalina Rhines of Marseilles . Marcellus moved to Marseilles in1871 and married (3) Sophia Tisler of Ottowa about 1867. Since then I have not been able to find any record of any of these people. None are buried in the family plot in Rose Hills, Chicago where 12 other family members are buried between 1860 and 1959. I need help with death certificates, cemeteries, obits, other possble children or anything else pertaining to these people. In return I can do some lookups at the Los Angeles County Recorder's Office.
