Greetings from Streator, ...from Streator Times-Press Saturday, August 26, 1961 LOCAL WOMAN TAKEN BY DEATH Mary Prendergast Dies in Hospital; Rites To Be Monday Morning. Mrs. William (Mary) Prendergast of 208 E. Kent Street, died at 8:10 this morning in St. Mary's hospital which she entered Friday evening. She had been in failing health. The remains are at the Solon funeral home where friends may call after 3 p. m. Sunday. The recitation of the rosary will be at 8 p m. Services Monday will be at 10:30 a. m. in the funeral home and at 11 a. m. in Immaculate conception church where a requiem mass will be said. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery. The daughter of the late James and Mary Solon, the deceased was born in Eagle township. She was married to William Prendergast and they became the parents of six children. Mr. Prendergast died in 1943. The deceased was a member of the Alter and Rosary Society of Immaculate Conception parish and the Margaret Roper Club. Survivors include her children, Mrs. Joseph (Mary) Cutshaw, Tempe, Ariz., Ms. Walter (Margaret) Storz, Streator, Mrs. Albert (Josephine) Ramm, Reno, Nev., Richard Prendergast, and Mrs. Lawrence (Virginia) Quiram, both of Streator. There are 11 grandchildren. She also leaves two sisters, Mrs. Joseph Wheatland of Streator and Mrs. Jerry Madigan of Ottawa, and a brother, John E. Solon of this city. Mrs. Prendergast was preceded in death by a son, Anthony, who died in infancy, three brothers and a sister. Joanie
