I don't know if Thomas Grimes was married before, although I think it very likely as Mary McGrath was a 37 year old spinster, living with her uncle Peter White in Wenona in the 1910 census. I couldn't find her after that, but now I know where to look in the 1920 census. I wonder if your friend who will look up Mary Grimes' obit would at the same time look up Thomas McGrath who has an obit in the Streator paper which said "formerly of this city" dated Dec. 9, 1925. The White cousin who sent me that info was unable to read it when she was last in Streator. I think this is Mary Grimes and Nellie Schultz brother. I am sorry to hear you are not well.
