Greetings from Streator, ...from Streator Daily Free Press Monday April 5, 1915 HIGHLY RESPECTED LADY PASSES AWAY Mrs. M. J. Prendergast Dies of Pneumonia Last Evening. Mrs. Mary J. Prendergast, an old and highly respected resident of this city, passed away at St. Mary's hospital Sunday evening at 7:45 o'clock of pneumonia after an illness os six days. The deceased was born in Ireland 72 years ago and has resided in this vicinity for the past 69 years. Her maiden name was Mary J. Solon and she was united in marriage to J. J. Prendergast at Wenona in 1862. Mr. Prendergast passed away Feb. 17, 1908. The decedent is survived by one brother, James Solon, a well known resident of Eagle township. The funeral services will be held Wednesday morning at 9 o'clock at the church of Immaculate Conception from the residence, 304 East Kent street. The interment will be made in St. Mary's cemetery. Note: I found John J. Prendergast, died Feb. 17, 1908, aged 77 years, buried in Block 1, Row 25 in St. Mary's cemetery. Did not find Mrs. Mary Prendergast. Joanie
