Just a note for all of you searching your PRENDERGAST roots: Last summer, Father Prendergast celebrated Mass at the Eagle church. My extended family had chosen that Saturday to attend Mass at the place of our ancestors and it was quite a treat for us to meet him. He had just been assigned to a church in Streator, I think Immaculate Conception, after serving for many years as a military chaplain. He also introduced his mother, who still lives in the Eagle area, to the congregation (although the natives already knew her). We have a distant connection to the Prendergasts through the marriage of Bridget Mary Prendergast to Michael Quinn, the brother of Bridget Quinn who married James Comiskey. Anyway, Father Prendergast could be a good resource. Marcia

I want to stop at the rectory and check out some of my elusive "Riverside" burials. IF I can get my data is some sort of order, I will give him a copy. Is Bridget Prendergast Quinn buried in Lostlands, died Dec. 3, 1885, and Michael 1826 - 1901, also buried in Lostlands. By the way, my cousin, Bob Seroka, married Isabelle Comisky, the daughter of Vincent and Mildred (Whalen) Comisky. Any relation? Bob just passed away in January. Izzy died several years ago in Florida and is buried in Lostlands.
