What tax records are available for LaSalle County between 1880-1900 and who do I contact? My ggfather Christen Rømer was in Leland, Illinois some time between 1880 and 1900. He apparently didn't own any real estate while there. He probably had horses and wagons and ran a business tiling farms in the area. I have done tax list research in other states and have been amazed at the things that were individually taxed at one time or another including pianos and bicycles. Any help greatly appreciated. buzz
