    2. Has anyone followed the Union Irish brigade, the 23rd Illinois Volunteer Infantry, from their reorganization and duty at Camp Douglas through their service in West Virginia to duty in the Shenandoah Valley to St. Petersburg to Appomattox Court House? I want to see where my paternal great-greatuncle, Thomas Connor, Pvt. of Co. D, was, if that's possible. Tom came to Earlville, La Salle County, from Boston after serving the three months' in 1861. I have the short version of the regimental history from Dyer and would prefer not to re-invent the wheel by researching the Supplement to the O. R. for daily orders for that company if some kind soul has already done so. Any hope out there? And has anyone gone over the route in person? I would surely appreciate any information from great views to tourist spots to museums not to be missed. Thank you. Margaret Moore [email protected]
