I did a little more digging online and in my own personal library and have learned that E.M. RINEHART was an Eldo M. Rinehart. Leo's sister was therefore Helen M. RINEHART. I may very well have the spelling of PENOFFSKY wrong. I have learned that Helen M. RINEHART is buried at Riverview and the date of death or interment is listed as 15 June 1968. Would so kind local look up her obit and get me a good spelling of her maiden name? The obit might list her brother - Leo as living or perhaps "died in WWI" - then I would know an answer to the nagging question of what became of Leo. There was a son Donald L. RINEHART too. I find a Donald L. RINEHART, Sr. who died 1938 - was born 1908 so could be the above couples son. If he's a "Sr." there surely is a "Jr." someplace. Is RINEHART still a Streator name? I will certainly look at this source. Hi Karen, I checked Helen Rinehart's obituary, she was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Penosky. She was survived by a brother, Michael of Joliet and a sister, Mrs. Alice Bystry of Kewanee. The services notice also has the same spelling. The obituary list grandchildren as Donald Rinehart and Mrs. Lark Daniel of San Deigo, California. However, the services notice has as the first out of town visitor as Mr. and Mrs. L. B. Tubbs and daughters, Donna Rinehart and Nancy of Ely, Minn. Also from Joliet: M/M Michael Penosky, M/M Walter Penosky, Frank Penosky and Daughter, Clara; Mrs. Martha Penosky, Miss Stella Penosky. E. M. Rinehart's son, was married and had two children: Donald, and Donna Jeanne. Sorry, no mention of Leo. I also checked E. M.'s obituary, thinking Leo might be a pall bearer or out of town visitor. Sorry, neither. E. M.'s obituary also liste his wife as Helen Schmidt??? Karen Hangsleben wrote: > > I did a little more digging online and in my own personal library and have > learned that E.M.
