    3. I am trying to find the town of Streator on the 1880 Federal Census for LaSalle County. Was Streator call something else? was there a name change? or the 1880 Federal Census published by Ancestry has not listed Streator in there records. Thanks, Gwen

    3. Streator is included in Bruce Township in the 1880 Federal Census. If you are looking at the images online at Ancestry.com, you will find Bruce under "other townships". Streator starts on page 5 of District 54. 3. Greetings from Streator, Streator was called "Hardscrabble" and "Unionville", but its post office from 1844? to 1868 was called "Eagle". If you are looking for someone in Streator at that time, check Bruce, Otter Creek and Eagle Townships. Also check Livingston County, esp. Newtown, Reading Townships. I have almost 50,000 Streator Area people on my FTM, who are you looking for? Best of Luck, Joanie Amine Chaar wrote: > > I am trying to find the town of Streator on the 1880 Federal Census for > LaSalle County.
