    3. Hi, Janet: From the Illinois State Marriage Index, 1763-1900, there is this unusual list of two marriages: BRIGGS, DANIEL LIBBY, SARAH 09/19/1847 A / 999 LA SALLE BRIGGS, DANIEL LIBBY, SARAH 09/29/1847 939/ FINK COOK My suggestion is to request a copy of the LaSalle Cty marriage license from the LaSalle County Genealogy Guild at http://www.lscgg.org/. There is a small fee associated with the request. You should be forewarned that a marriage license from 1847 would not likely include any genealogical information unless the bride were underage and required permission from her parents to marry. However, it *would* give you proof of your g-g-grandfather's marriage. Daniel is my gg grandfather and finding this marriage is a HUGE step, any information that anyone would have would be greatly appreciated. Thanks so much in advance, Janet Gibbs
