    2. It would probably be St. Joseph's cemetery in Peru which is where the German Catholics went. The Genealogy Guild has the records from that cemetery. Let me know the name you are looking for and I will see if it is there. 1. Re: [ILLASALLE] Cemetery
    2. Jenan, Did the Germans also have a Lutheran cemetery in Peru? I'm not sure if this family was Catholic or Lutheran, but I am looking for information on a child who was killed in a train accident and I would guess it would have been in the 1860-1870 range in Peru because the family arrived in the US in 1851 from Germany. She would have been the daughter of my great -great grandparents Christopher and Louisa (Bresenmeister) Vahldieck. Their name is misspelled in the 1860 census in Peru as Chris Valdick, so it may not be the correct spelling. The family moved to Long Point, IL in 1871 but I read in the Livingston County Biographies book that there was a daughter who died at age 8 in a train accident in Peru and a son who died in infancy and I've never been able to find proof. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance, Marguerite Vahldieck -----Original Message----- From: jenanj@ivnet.com To: ILLASALL-L@rootsweb.com Sent: Wed, 18 May 2005 08:40:15 -0500 Subject: Re: [ILLASALLE] Cemetery It would probably be St. Joseph's cemetery in Peru which is where the German Catholics went.
