Might you know where the name WELLINGTON came from? My father was born in Streator (1919) and his middle name was WELLINGTON. I asked him once why and he didn't know! I found a small scrap of paper among my parents things - it was a letter written to my Grandma NELSON by an Annie Wolfe of Cumberland, MD - seeing WELLINGTON and WOLFE together set me wondering. Grandma Nelson died in 1926 - so, the letter was from an earlier date. The Nelson family left Cumberland, MD in the early 1880's so it's bet. +-1885-1926 on the letter. After Catherine died Justus and the kids moved to Story Co., IA.
