Hi Dan, Naturalizations are confusing because, over time, different courts were responsible for naturalizing citizens. I know that IRAD in DeKalb has copies of LaSalle County records, but only into the 1880s. However, you might start with the following NARA record, also available on LDS microfilm: Soundex index to naturalization petitions for U.S. District & Circuit Courts, Northern District of Illinois and Immigration and Naturalization Service District 9, 1840-1950 Order the film covering the surname you are researching, check the index, and it will tell you what court conducted the naturalization. You'll then have to contact that court for the actual records. Hope you find them, Lynn >> > I am looking for where to write to obtain naturalizations for folks who did > so in the 1900s-1910s.
