    1. RE: [ILLASALLE] Catherine and Justus Richmond/ Wellington given name
    2. Carol Bogue
    3. Karen, No, I don't. Wellington H. Richmond (b ca 1845, England) and his wife (1873), Susan Wolfe (b 1844, NY; d 1924, IL), had a daughter, Florence (b 1876, MI; d 1925, IL). Susan Wolfe later remarried (1909) to my GG grandfather. A relative said that the daughter married my GG grandfather's son, but all the pieces don't fit together well. Cast of characters here: Wellington H. Richmond (b ca 1845, England) Susan Wolfe (b 1844, NY; d 1924, Mission Twp, LaSalle Co, IL) Wellington & Susan (m 1873, Kane Co, IL) Florence (b 1876, MI; d 1925, Sheridan, LaSalle Co, IL) Susan Wolfe remarried to my GG grandfather (1909) your father, _____ Wellington _____ (b 1919, Streator) Annie Wolfe of MD (writes letter 1885 - 1926) Grandma Nelson (d 1926) However, having the Wellington given name and the Wolfe surnames for your family and mine is a remarkable coincident, not to mention that Susan was born in NY & later immigrated to IL. Do you know more about Annie? Tell me a bit more of your dad's parents. Carol At 10:41 PM -0500 4/10/03, Karen Hangsleben wrote: >Might you know where the name WELLINGTON came from?
