This is my family line that I am seeking information on. They came from Nedre Valheim, Norway. If anyone can help me with this family line I would appreciate it. This family came to America some settling in the LaSalle, Co., IL area. Page 317 Nedre Valheim bruk 3 44. Tore Danielson b: 1787, married 1824 to Sofia Pedersdtr. Svadberg, b: 1805 (Stolen.) They lived for a short tim on Svadberg where the oldest child is born. Children: a.Daniel b: 1826 (See Fremre Svedberg nr. 44) b: Anders b: 1828 c. Brita b: 1830 d. Peder b: 1832 e. Anna b: 1835 f. Tore b: 1827 died same year g. Malena b: 1839 h. Sofia b: 1841 i. Eli b: 1844 j. Tore b: 1847 Daniel b: 1826 had a son Nils b: 1848 with Anna Johansdtr. Grov, Sedberg. Nils (this must be an error for Daniel-see below) married Kari (Tora ?) Olsdtr. They had the child Ola. Kari was not from Ardal, and they were not married there. Nils Danielson was a teacher, died 1872. In 1850 Tore Danielson sold the farm and emigrated to America with wife and 8 children. Daniel emigrated at the same time with wife and child. Oyehavn b: 1796 g. Marta b: 1795 h. Gudmund b: 1796 married 1834 to Anna Pedersdtr. Hagen b: 1803 He had a son Ola b: 1822 with Marta Andresdtr. and a daughter Marta b: 1826 with Ingeborg Danielsdtr. Maele i. Malena b: 1797 j. Eli b: 1799 d: 1821 married to Peder Larson N. Valheim bruk 1 k. b: 1801 married 1827 to Siri Olsdtr. Tjentland b: 1805. They lived first on Tjentland where they had a child Malena b: 1827. In 1832 they moved to Skjold. Daniel Anderson had the farm as long as he lived; then Tore took over. Asheim in Hjelmeland b: ca. 1724 died 1783 on Valheim 33. Daniel Anderson b: on Tjentland 1685 married to Eli Pedersdtr. N. Valheim, b: 1688, d: 1767 on Valheim This Daniel was son of lensmann (sherrif) Anders Tjentland. One of the children of Daniel and Eli was Daniel Danielson Valheim b: 1725 who later became a merchant in Bergen and the ancester of the Wallem family. Wallem is an older spelling of Valheim. Very confusing let me tell you. My DANIELSON once coming to America changed their last name to THOMPSON which is very, very, very hard to research. Gwen
