Hello LaSalle County, Can anyone tell me whether the Carter Cemetery, located about 2 miles NE of Earlville is still in use? Is there a sexton that I could communicate with? Can anyone that lives nearby take a photo of a headstone there? I would be happy to reimburse expenses. I am interested in Catherine (Wandell) Richmond and any other Richmonds that might be buried close by. She died December 22, 1862 in Earlville and is buried in that Carter Cemetery. Her family moved on to Iowa where her husband is buried in Rhodes, Eden Cemetery (Marshall Co.) Jerry, I have a Wellington Richmond, m Susan Wolfe (1873). Susan later (1909) m Jacob Jacobsen & lived in Sheridan in 1910 & 1920. Sheridan is just southeast of Earlville.
