I am trying to locate relatives of the Corrigan family, who lived near Budd, Il, which I understand is South of Streator and may be as small a town as a grain elevator and may be a couple of houses. There were 6 brothers in the family, but I have been only able to locate 3 so far. Hi Dick, Budd is in Sunbury Township, north of Rte 17, and a couple of miles east of Blackstone, and about 1/2 mile south of the county line. The Streator Public Library has a couple of books on Livingston Co., I'll see if the Corrigan's are mentioned. St. Bernard's the Catholic church in Budd was established about 1895. They used to joke about one of the pastor's, the Late Father ____. This beloved priest also had charge of the church in Cornell. Apparently he was NEVER on time. Not once. And he was not late by just a few minutes. Someone just brought in a family history book about an Irish family from that neck of the woods. I am going to the museum tomorrow, so I will check that book out for you. The Trainor and Clancy families also lived in that area. Hi Dick, The first page of the book had a group picture of the members of St. Bernard's church. Two Francis Corrigan's and a couple others were identified. There were about 10 Corrigan's in the index. But, I got busy, and did not have time to check out the pages. What are the first names of the family that you are looking for? I have to go to the museum and the library tomorrow (Monday).
