    3. Greetings from Streator, Streator Daily Free Press Wednesday, Feb. 23, 1910 .. Mr. Banks was born in Lanrickshire, Scotland, 78 years ago last New Year's day. It was in Scotland he was married and shortly after moved to America. He was a miner by occupation and followed that work in different parts of Pennsylvania for a number of years, coming to Streator forty years ago. He engaged in mining after coming to Streator for a number of years, or until he became incapacitated for such work. He then worked as day laborer, being employed for a number of years in laying brick sidewalks throughout the city. Later this work proved too hard for him and about six years ago he found it necessary to cease work entirely. Mr. Banks lost his wife about fifteen years ago, which left him without a near relative. A son died seventeen years ago, and a daughter, Mrs. H. Mooney, died while a resident of the far west a number of year ago. The remains were brought to Streator for the burial at the request of Robert Ward and Hugh Patton, both nephews of the dead man. ..from SDFPress His wife, Elizabeth died June 12, 1894 at her home on West Main Street. Her son, Murray was already dead, but her daughter, Mrs. Hugh Mooney? was living in Colgate, Indian Territory at the time. ...from SDFP Murray Banks died August 16, 1892 due to "congestion of the brain". His parents were living at 209 West Main Street. He was about 30 years old and left "a daughter to mourn her loss", no mention of wife?
