HI Marte All i know of my Daniel is Daniel H Danielson Born January 19 1835 Norway on a Farm named Strom in Shal Married 1865 Iowa Died August 21 1918 When he was 23 years of age he imigrated to America with a number of neighbors and friends in th year 1858 In July 12 1858 he came to Henry County Iowa and stayed one year. and then went to Leland in LaSalle County Illinois where he worked for 4 1/2 years then he went back to Iowa near New Sharon he bought and sold several farms in his life. He is the Oldest of Ten children His Sister Anna Hiaring and brother Andrew came to America later. left in Norway is his Sister Martha and brother Severt he had one brother and four sisters who died in infancy. He made his first trip back to Norway in 1869 and stayed one year and his last trip was in 1904 and came back in 1905 A lady im talking to found some of his land records in Iowa. and his Marriage Certificate and ill have them soon she says his parents are not named on it. Someone on the Norway list Thinks That my Daniel And A Dam Holvardson are the same farm named Rotten. but i dont know how to porve that these two are the same.two men. Hello again. I'll do som echekking for you. First I want you to know that Shal is NOT a norwegian word. Do you know if it is in Valdres as the other Danielson you seeking for?. The farm is probarby Strom with a o with mark over prononced -ea- as in earl. It meens streaming and is a rahter normal norwegian farm name. As to the sister and brother, they are probarbly Andreas and Syvert in Norwegian. I wonder are they called Danielson or Hiaring? (Hiaring is a VERY strange name, could be Jaring) I'll get back to you.
