I am interested in info on John G. Evans and wife, Mary Edwards. John and Mary lived in 1856 in Ottawa,IL. They lived there I think, until Mary died in about 1867. John then married Eliza Scott or Shott in about 1869. John and Mary are buried in Peru cemetery. I would like to have a copy of their tombstone. I will pay the cost involved. John owned a few lots in Ottawa. John came to America in 1829. I don't know when he came to LaSalle. I don't know Mary Edwards parents or siblings. Does anyone know anything about this family?
