I don't have Ancestry but that's Delos. He was postmaster of the LaSalle Post Office and died in 1906. His wife was Eliza. Delos was born in New York, Hi Cindy. Are you absolutely certain of the 1906 death of Delos? If so, do you have a theory regarding the following listing from the 1910 census? Delos Robinson Mission Twp, LaSalle County, Illinois T624_301, part 1, page 22B Robinson, Delos, head, male, white, 75 years old, married - 2 times, this marriage - 43 years, born NY, father - NY, mother - NY, occupation - own income. ------------, Eliza, wife, female, white, 72 years old, married - 2 times, this marriage - 43 years, 3 children born/1 currently living, born NY, father - NY, mother - NY Wortman, George, boarder, male, white, 77, single, Illinois, New York, New York, occupation - Mason & Bricklayer It should be noted that they are listed as family 106 along with a separate head of household: Nancy C. Jacobs, age 79, born Ohio, Virginia, Virginia and her daughter Winefred J., Winefred's husband and children. Looking backwards to the 1900, they are also in Mission Twp, although Delos is listed in the Ancestry index as "Delor" rather than Delos. The ages of Delos and Eliza match the 1910 listing (65 and 62) and Eliza's info states she had 3 children born and 1 living, which also matches the 1910 listing, as does the birth information for each of them. It appears that child is Bertha May, who is listed in their household. Also, if I'm reading the 1880 correctly, the George Wortman listed in the 1910 may also be related to the Robinson family. In the 1880 household, there is a Phebe Wortman, a 49 year old widow, listed as a Sister-in-law to the head of household (Delos Robinson). Just a few more things for you to consider. Shelly
