Hayer, Ellen or Olean? If Ellen is listed in 1880, I went back and checked the 1870 census. In Miller Twp, Andrew, aged 54 is married to Olena, aged 50. So, I checked Ill. Sec. of State for marriages, Andrew Hayer and Ellen Daniels obtained a marriage license on Sept. 26, 1876. Did he have two wives?? Did he ever use Larson as a last name, do you know where Hayer came from? Wonder what "Hayer" means?
