Gaard. The only thing I know about Fred, is that he was in Minnesota when his brother died in 1918. Dr. Edward K. Gaard, Optometrist of Peoria, died July 24, 1918 in St. Mary's Hospital in Streator. Dr. Gaard was born April 13, 1875 in Blue Rapids, Iowa. At the age of 14 he was left an orphan. He was married in Chicago about 12 years ago to Miss Lou VanNamee of Streator.
