    1. Re: MASEKER or MASKER
    2. Hi Joanie - You've done it again! Wow, John certainly didn't wait long to remarry. John MASEKER married (Sarah) Ellen HOOTON on July 22, 1888. With young children, this was probably a necessity. I would LOVE a copy of those obits. Please let me know how I can pay any related costs. The child of John MASKERS would be an unknown older sibling of my g-grandmother who was born Feb. 9, 1891. Her sister, Pearl, was born 1895 and married Stephen ELAM. Frank Joseph is eventually moved to Peoria and is listed in the IL Death Index. I had no idea about that additional child because none of Sarah Ellen's census records indicate there is a non-living child (although it explains the long gap between the marriage and the birth of my g-grandmother), so I've not yet researched them. I assume he/she would likely be buried at Riverview and would love to know for sure. When you are able and feeling better, I would be grateful for anything you can tell me. Shelly Hi, I can't believe I did not notice this before. Mary E. Maseker has an obit in Streator paper for May 25, 1888 Weekly edition (Tuesday) There is also an obit for "Child of John Maskers" listed for Aug 13 & 14, 1891 in the Daily paper. Aged 20 Months. With all this rain, my arthritis is really getting to me. It might take a couple of days to get moving and get up the steps to the library. William and Minnie are buried in Riverview. What happened to Frank Joseph? And the other 2 children? Do you know if the 20 months old child is buried in Riverview? Joanie
